Alan Reed & Co is amazing! The salon is peaceful and has its own parking lot in the heart of Doylestown Borough. I'm a long-time client (20+ years). I've had a lot of services here - cut, cut & color, cut, touch up & highlight, cut & balayage, buzz-cut, and back to haircut. Russell excels at each and every service. Russell has given my kids their haircuts when they were little. As young adults they now go to him for their hair services and are extremely happy with their hair every time. Russell has been caring for my hair for well over 20 years, and my husband and son see him, as well. He is highly competent with cuts, color, and style! He does beautiful up do’s, and if you show him a photo of something you like, he will make it happen or suggest an alternative if your hair just won’t accommodate your idea. He is personable, approachable, and easy going. I highly recommend him!

Russell is a true genius when it comes to hair.I have never had a stylist who had so much knowledge. I know this sounds a little repetitive but Russell is the best stylist ever.He has been doing my hair for about 15 years.I have had many styles all of them got plenty of compliments.I had my hair straightened twice was fabulous I have been letting my hair grow for my daughters wedding Russell cuts hair so well it still looks good after a year.He is just amazingHe is always in a great mood and at the same time professional.He is.very witty and alot of fun.His salon is super clean and bright. He can look at a picture and cut hair looking just like the picture.If you want to look your best don’t go anywhere else than Allen Reed and Company

Russell is extremely knowledgeable about hair, color, brilliant at highlights, and carries only the best products. My hair and highlights have never looked so good. Russell also has a heart of gold and a wonderful conversationalist.

Bought a Groupon to use for him for the first time, paid extra for highlights and a toner, because I’m a blonde. First time he dyed my hair it was orange and you couldn’t see the highlights…had to go back and have Russel fix it. Second time, like the first he blew out my hair without a brush which I thought was odd and he didn’t even use a toner the second time too. Then after I got home I noticed my hair stared braking off! I demanded all of my money back which he gave me. I wish I would have never would have bought that Groupon, buyer beware! He pays for fake reviews I think…

I’ve been going to Russell since 1995. He’s consistently been a great hairdresser and colorist. Never, ever had any problems whatsoever and he always listens to my requests and gives great suggestions. It’s a quiet and relaxing but Russell is a great conversationalist if you want to chat but keeps it quiet if you don’t. He’s got decades of experience but keeps up on the newest cuts and trends. My whole family goes to him!

Russell has been cutting my hair for years. My whole family is loyal to his hair salon because he does excellent haircuts and will bend over backwards to fit you in even if his schedule is busy which it usually is. He’s owner and operator, wearing many hats running his business and does a great job. He’s always professional even having known him for such a long time, his business is that important to him. And there’s no fake reviews going on here. That’s quite the accusation but consider the source. It came from someone whom Russell never encountered before who came in with already severely over processed damaged hair and expected him to perform miracles. His reviews are great because of his loyal, happy clientele, which includes me and my whole family.

Finally, a stylist who listened and a cut I have been looking for! Russel you rock. It is now 2018 and I am still having my hair cut and groomed by Russel and still simply the best. Appointments are timely and you can't beat their free and ample parking right in the heart of Doylestown. Just a great consistent job and a great price.
