Worst experience ever!!! They took 10 hours on bob boho short braids that shouldn’t have took 5 hours to do!!! I watched and wait 2 hours for them prep my hair and that should have only took 20 mins at the max!!! I seen customers come in 3 hours after me that got the hair braided to the waist that left before I did!!! The owner was in Africa and said when she come back in a month she would fix my hair?!?! So she thought it was ok for me to wait one month to get my hair fixed!!! My braid are different sizes and twisted and all smh!!! Literally the worst experience ever I’ll never spend my money with them again!!!

Came in today as a walk in for Medium Box Braids and was out within 6 hours, and they did a great job. Gave them a tip for the quick and great work. I will definitely be back!

I've been going to this place for years. Tip my braider every time. Until recently I went Zena charged me 180 for the godless locs. So I noticed that my hair was starting to unravel. So she started to fix my hair a day later. Get home and the ones that she fixed started to unravel again. I called her and she began to get hostile with me. Stating that it wasn't tight enough but she never agreed to fix it. Please be wise on going to this place. My hair wasn't up a whole month before I had taken it down. Don't go here.

These ladies are absolutely magical at there job!!! When I tell you I'm obsessed with my boho braids!!! They did everything that I asked for and they're very sweet and amazing people. Come here for your braids they will hook you up trust me!!

Abi is amazing !!! One of the best hair experiences for sure . She did an amazing job with my 12 year old daughter’s knotless boho braids . She loved it and I was very happy with results . Pleasant staff as well . Will definitely be back . Thanks Abi

Very unprofessional and slow af! I have been getting my hair braided for 10+ years and never have I ever sat getting my hair braided for 12 hours that’s just beyond ridiculous! I understand making it look nice but redoing a single braid 10x is wild. Not only that I asked for medium sized braids and she ended doing small braids. As I was leaving the ladies were looking at me like I was crazy for coming in. If you offer a walk-in service don’t be mad when people use it. Needless to say they will NEVER see me again!

BEST BRAIDING EXPERIENCE! I will be back! The service was exactly what I wanted. They asked for reference pictures and we talked about any concerns with tension prior to beginning the service. This place is a HIDDEN GEM!

Haven’t been here in two years. Came in today and felt warm and welcome. I got the bohemian knot less medium mid back it only took 6 hours and baby they did not disappoint. I’m taking my daughter next month for back to school! 10/10

My hair is very short and I thought I would have to shave it and let it grow back — that is until I sat in Zena & Abi’s braiding chair. They take really good care of my hair and I didn’t have to cut it at all. It’s healthy and lush, growing beautifully and so much longer since I started getting my hair treated by Zena and Abi. They are great ladies, very honest and will not let you leave unsatisfied. They listen and are very patient with all customers. They have a quiet and respectful atmosphere. Visiting clients are respectful because they create an environment of love, joy, and positivity. They truly treat you like family. Their hands stay busy, unlike other shops where their mouths stay busy with gossip. I recommend Abi African Hair Braiding to everyone who is in need of getting their hair taken care of properly and with precise details. These two ladies are highly skilled craftswomen.

I needed my hair braided on short notice and Ani stepped up and came in on 4th of July to get me in. She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. I highly recommend I have already referred two of my friends.

Rude nasty disrespectful they picked at my hair and asked me what happened to my hair it didn't use to be like that first of all what if I had a medical condition that caused hair to fall out then my hair has been braided 2 to 3 times before arriving to this shop even shorter hair then anthnor women walked where u can see her skin on head they praised her and I have a head full of hair just a joke time wasted and the professionalism is unacceptable nasty faces where made and they spoke in French to keep u from knowing what they where speaking never in this life time do u treat a coustmer NO NO and NO if I had recorded I could have sued they will not be in bussiness that much longer not knowing how to treat people with respect just ridiculous

Showed up for my appointment after paying deposit the day before over Zelle I was told to sit in a braiders chair, the braider pulled out a blow dryer and I took down my sectioned hair and the lady in the other chair told me it was going to take 10 hours to braid my hair since the owner was out due to a death in the family the braider started blow drying my hair and was pulling very hard with strands of hair flying in the air from being pulled out. I offered to blow dry and comb my hair, cause it seem like she was having difficulty. The lady braiding another customer chair again told me it was going to take 10 hours , and I said I didn’t have the time, especially with them not seeming to want to do my hair and pulling very hard, I then asked for my refund for my deposit as I was leaving and they asked me if I wanted to reschedule I refused. I had to ask several times for my refund. They then asked the current customer getting her hair braided to give me my $20 so that I could leave . I have been going to this shop since moving to the area two years ago and I have never experienced anything like this. However at a previous appointment, allow a woman selling hairdryers and clothes to come in and the braiders took shots of margaritas and I was offered weed.

Just got my hair done today for the first time there and it won’t be my last ! Everyone was very friendly and the hair came out amazing, size and length. One the best experiences since moving here ! To be a sweetie, bring them a snack as an extra thank you 😊

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!!! Service begins in any business with the call to make an appointment, the first interaction via email/social media, or the way you are greeted when walking into the establishment of a business. I have been to many hair salons over the years in many cities and the ones that I frequented all had the same qualities: professionalism, quality communication and a willingness to listen to the customer. That goes for small and large salons alike. This establishment had NONE of those qualities and I will explain why: When I came across M&E, I saw pictures that showed them parting customers hair exactly the way I wanted with similar styles for the box braids I had intended to buy. With this information, I thought it best to call, discuss my style desires, find out what they specialize in and see what availability they had on the date I had hoped to get my appointment for. (THE APPOINTMENT CALL) I called to make my appointment and there was static on the phone the entire time. Not only did they not speak directly into the phone and act professionally, they did not ask me about whether I was bringing my own hair or if I wanted to use theirs. They wanted to hang up on me before I gave them my name and what time I should arrive on the appointment day. I HAD TO ASK THOSE THINGS MYSELF and say "dont you want to know this?" They kept trying to hang up like they just wanted to add me as a number on a list of people that will come to give them money on a particular day. They didnt want to know any of the personal information I knew they needed to do their job right. At this point something didn't feel right because they did not even ask me what hair style I wanted or if I was bringing my own hair and, if you are running a hair business, matching up scheduled appointment times is key so you don't over or under book. Braiding takes hours, sometimes full days so I was in shock that they did not ask nor did they seem to care about what I wanted or ask even what my hair style was like so they could fit me in their schedule appropriately with other clients. I stewed over this all morning and even called a friend who also gets their hair in braids for advice. I explained what happened and they were dumbfounded. I proceeded to look through the reviews for this place and found many more 1 star reviews than I was comfortable with to give them my service. Every review had 2 things in common: The establishment workers/owner were extremely rude to the customers and their service was not worth the exorbitant prices these customers paid. I was so frustrated I was crawling out of my skin while reading these reviews. Here is the kicker though. One review stuck out because she said that amongst other issues, she caught an employee writing a 5 star review for the establishment right after the customer had a negative experience (in more ways than one) and voiced her concern to the people working there. (THE APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION) That was the last straw for me after reading the reviews. When I called again, the phone conditions were the same. I said I wanted to cancel my appointment. ...and they hung up on me. Point blank. I was at a lost for words. All of the reviews hit home for me when I heard that click. The worst part is that the 5 star reviews that drew me in the first place were all potentially fake based on the review that said they write their own 5 star reviews. CONCLUSION: I did not have to go to this establishment or allow them to touch my hair to know that I would never want them to. Simply by my first interactions I can smell disaster brewing and I hope they raise their standards and start running an honest and quality driven business in the future. If you pay for a service, you should get that EXACT service. Do not let anyone tell or show you different! If a business cannot provide what you are looking for, you discuss it PREVIOUS to the customers appointment. If they are unwilling to do so, they are being dishonest and you should take your business elsewhere as I will be doing.

Well I usually have a good experience here but I guess the owner Abi really need her some money this day because I took my 3 daughter there cause I was lazy didn’t feel like doing their hair myself which I’m so mad cause the money I could have save they did the most horrible rich Kobe to my girls hair my daughter braid fell out the next day the lady that did here hair complained the whole time that she was tired I guess that why she did a lazy job for 160 and then I had to end up redoing her edges which they look 100% better than the work the professional was suppose to do but I end up spen a good 700 for all my girl head went back to get my hair do e the next day and paid 350 for a style I did not ask for and the owner Abi told me I was getting human wet and wavy and theis stuff is nappy not a way by at all and can’t be Human all it does is nap up and fall out ever where please be cautious with spend your money with them I was so disappointed cause usually I have good experience here but I never go to the owner or had to deal with her but this time she made me find a new shop abi this is the lady that brought all the girl and my hard y’all did a horrible job on our hair for all the money we spent and I will be taking my business elsewhere thanks but me and my girls will not be back nor will I be send anyone back to you guys this is embarrassing

I’ve got these micros I was very satisfied with the service I had to get used to sitting down so long haven’t got my hair braided in years and baby you better have some snacks😂 But I’m not even sure of the lady name I got it done 2-18-24 She asked me did I wanna leave edges out? I told her no she did not miss a string of hair. My braids look really good Thanks again

very unprofessional & money hungry. Was told a price over the phone and once I got there she upped the price by $50 & tried to argue with me when I showed messages of price told & had an aggressive attitude. Wouldn’t recommend.
