Asked for a gel manicure, I’ve been going here for probs 15 years periodically and this French gel manicure is so badly done it should be illegal lol and it was done by the owner. Don’t go here it’s trash

Did ANC, my second time. I got them on Tuesday and 2 days later they started to lift, and by saturday they started to chip and break off. Owner did them. It was $50. Not worth it, though the owner was a kind guy. My first set of ANC was by a parlor in hyde park and they stayed on for 4 weeks, and I actually am able to do my own ANC (albeit im a beginner) and they stay on much longer than what they did. I am disappointed, to say the least. I dont even need a soak off because I can literally see where they are lifting and pop them without much effort at all. Another thing which Im not sure is true, is that they dont clean their tools between people. I am not sure if that is a sanitary thing or not.

I received a gift certificate for this place and went in to use it before it expired. Gift certificate reads that it’s good for 6 months from date of purchase and “cannot be apply to gratuity unless indicate.” I got a pedicure and had 15 dollars left on the gift certificate. As it’s expiring within a few days I asked to use it toward the tip and was very rudely told no. I asked about the wording on the certificate and when it would need to be indicated, just for general curiosity and was never informed an answer and Alex just kept saying no expire no expire while becoming more loud and more rude until he walked away. I did give the nail tech a cash tip because it wasn’t her doing and she did a nice job. Also to note- something seemed off to me even before I presented the gift certificate. They clearly favor their regular clients over new ones. Very Poor costumer service in my opinion.

My wife walked in and they denied her to get her nails done. They could’ve asked her if she would like an appointment for another day but they did not. They basically denied her and said bye. The sad part is that her niece recommended it to her but basically said sorry no bye-bye. For future reference, she will not ever be going there again. And also I would not recommend anybody to go there if they’re going to treat people like that.

This was my first (and last) time at this establishment. Before even asking my name or anything about me (usual small talk) Alex blamed me for his shortage of workers. Without asking me, he said I voted for Biden and that Biden made it so no one wanted to work. I told him I am a public school teacher and worked throughout the pandemic, even when businesses closed. This meant nothing to him because (based on my skin color alone) I didn't want him to have the 9 workers he used to have. Putting the ethical and poor hospitality to the side. He was upset I didn't tell him he needed to soak my nail polish off on the phone. He talked poorly about and to the Latinx American worker who did do my toes and nails. And the gel they did is very thin. All and all, I won't be back. I don't need my politics brought up while getting my nails done. I don't need to be blamed for what was probably poor management and relationships with his workers. And some of the people who go to him regularly seem to not mind that behavior.

Excellent to have pedicure and manicure. Clean and they follow protocol. I also got a hair cut. The girl does an excellent job but you need to make an appointment.

The owner is rude and unprofessional. Appointments mean nothing, he doesn't honor them. My advice is to stay away. It's not worth the aggravation. There are a million other nail salons around here to go to.

Haven't gone to this salon in years but that will change after today. Went in on a Sunday morning with my sister, no appointment. They were able to take us anyway, even though they were pretty busy at 1030 am. I got ANC and my sister got a gel manicure. I have the worst cuticles and I usually bleed a bit at other salons regardless of how careful the tech is. Not at AA, my tech was incredibly gentle and efficient. No cuts and my cuticles weren't even inflamed. Best ANC manicure I've ever gotten - not too thick but still solid. They had quite a color selection also. My sister's gel manicure came out excellent too and they got us out at the same time. Very clean space, real friendly staff, and prices are reasonable for the quality. Will be making an appointment in the future since they get busy (for good reason)!

I had a 10 AM mani/pedi appointment and when I walked in, they had already started the water for my pedi. They’re friendly, spend a lot of time on the massage, and the facility is clean. Make sure you make an appointment though because they definitely get busy.

Was directed to the pedi chair, took off shoes, sat down and put feet in the water, then was yelled at by the owner that he didn't mean for me to go to the chair. As he angrily filled another tub he told me I would have to wait a long time. I asked the tech for a towel, dried my feet and walked out. Never will I go back!

WAS TURNED AWAY because I did not have an appointment. It was a Wednesday afternoon. Seriously? Perhaps the "Walk-In Welcome" that is on their business card and building should be removed. What a shame.
