Every single stylist here is incredible and personable. The entire experience is personalized from the moment you walk in and are offered refreshment to the very end when products are chosen based on your specific hair type. I am so happy to have a salon I can trust to do exactly what I need.

I've seen 2 of the stylists and they have both been amazing! I have been delighted with the outcome every time. Everyone there is so professional and talented and yet it is the warmest, friendliest salon I have ever frequented. I have referred several people there and they raved about it as well. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the scheduler/receptionist who is truly world class in customer service and one of the loveliest people I have ever met.

As someone with extremely high standards for barbers, I have found Tyson is the best in the business. The entire salon staff here always provides a warm welcome, but it’s Tyson's awesome personality and world-class haircuts that really keep me coming back every two weeks. He will take his time to ensure your haircut is perfect, and has a great eye especially when it comes to fades and blending. If you want the best, book with Tyson.

Rome has been cutting my hair for a few years. She is great at giving curly hair cuts and providing styling tips. She always ask my opinion about the last cut and we discuss ideas off how to tweak it or retain aspects and what length I want currently before we start. Love her vibrant spirit and professionalism.

I hadn't had my hair cut professionally in a decade and was aprehensive prior to visiting 19th Avenue Salon. Kyrsha was wonderfully kind and understanding with the questions I had for them. I left feeling fresh and confident about my hair care going forward. I will visit again.

I recently had a very bad experience there. One of their stylists was very rude to me, raised her voice at me, was argumentative, said she "apologized for being harsh and blunt" but then continued to give me a horrible haircut that was not remotely like the pictures I had shown her or what I had asked for. In fact I had told her a previous hairstylist had given me a short short bob, which I didn't like and didn't want again, and yet this stylist at 19th Ave Salon gave me another bob, said it was a bob, and told me to put ALOT of product in my hair and then not to touch the hair. Well my NATURALLY BIG, WAVY, CURLY HAIR, did what it does best, and it poofed out terribly on the sides! And my hair gets touched a million times a day by the little boy I take care of who likes to throw his blanket over my head to play hide and seek, or wrestle over the top of me when I'm sitting on the floor, or grab my hair when he kisses my face and wipes his yogurt all over me. Him I love, this haircut I hate. It is so unflattering, boxy, and ugly: I feel like crying most days- mostly because I have a wedding to attend at the beginning of November and my only options are to get my hair cut even shorter or go with this current ugly mess. The only bright side of the entire experience has been the staff. I received an email the day after the cut which said that if I felt I had a bad experience, to please call and discuss it; so I called. The kind woman who answered the phone knew exactly who I was because she said she had heard the entire interaction with the hair stylist the day before and apologized to me for what had happened. Another one of the hair stylists, Tyson, who had also been there the day I got the haircut, called me and asked if he could fix it for me on the house. I really appreciate that, so much, but I am still so upset that months of hair growth and dealing with funky growing out phases were all just ruined by this one rude young lady that cut my hair this way. I honestly don't want any more of my hair cut off right now. So while I know there are kind people at this salon- if you find yourself in the chair and a certain young stylist starts making you feel bad and arguing with the pictures you brought in- get up and leave. I wish I had.

Kyrsha is amazing! I had died my hair for years before coming to her and no one ever really commented on it. Once I started going to her, now I get compliments all the time! She is great at what she does and creates a very safe, calm, and clean environment for you as the client. Apart from Kyrsha, the salon is incredibly comfortable, sleek, clean, and always ensures you have whatever drink you want (coffee, tea, champagne, water).

Maritza gave be the best haircut I have had in Seattle. As an ex-hairstylist I am extremely knowledgeable and picky about my hair. I asked for a trim and some weight taken out and some long layers. She absolutely nailed it and gave her own opinion about some ideas and we rolled with it. And I’ve never been happier. Her blowouts are also the only time I’ll ever rock it for a few days instead of going home and washing it back to my natural wave immediately. Insane blowout skills. She is so talented and extremely nice. I will go to her forever!

I started seeing Maritza for my hair at her previous salon in 2021 and I followed her to 19th Ave. One thing I love about her is she’s not afraid to cut my hair. I’ve had many stylists show restraint when I ask for a bold chop or something drastically different from a long layered trim. Maritza is confident with her shears and I trust her expertise regarding my face shape, texture, maintenance, etc. Every cut I’ve had from her grows out beautifully and I get compliments several months down the road. I could go in and say “do whatever you want” and I’m sure Maritza would give me the best haircut ever. As for the salon: super-friendly staff, upbeat energy- everyone I saw working here seemed excellent and professional.

Everyone is warm and welcoming & professional. Kyrsha knows her stuff. She's always open to doing something different but has subtly kept me from making a few really bad choices. I'm always happy with the end result. Shop is super clean. While they have hair & makeup products for sale, they don't pressure you to purchase anything. Services are reasonably priced.

Maritza is the best!! She is so knowledgeable and explained the balayage process from start to finish. The vibes of this salon were amazing too. They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and happy. Everyone was so friendly and the manager from next door even brought over some food. Highly recommend!!

Tyson is my stylist, and he is fantastic! He understands hair and cuts mine so it looks fantastic throughout the seven weeks until my next cut. I receive many compliments on my hair, and I give credit to Tyson. I always tell him, "You make me look good!" If you are a man with long hair looking for haircut, consider different place or take VERY close attention to how much hair master cuts. I will have to regrow my hair for many months because of how much hair was cut and how disproportionally it was done, creating a woman bob hair look.

Rome is excellent with curly hair. She did my last cut and styled which convinced my 9 year old to get a badly needed cut which she had been resisting for a year. Rome was so excellent with her and her hair too. Such a positive and caring stylist.
